Job Description

• Works in a manufacturing environment emphasizing teamwork, safety, quality, training and discipline.
• Follows standardized work procedures and work sequence for each process.
• Works with Team Leader to improve standardized processes / methods, identify waste, methodically eliminate waste and standardize the new process / methods.
• Directly responsible for performance of assigned work area.
• Works in a team environment on safety, quality, productivity and cost improvement projects.
• Completes all working documentation, records and reports as requested.
• Understands all SAIA policies and procedures.
• Is proactive and reactive to resolve abnormalities in the process.
• Uses key performance indicators as a method of continuous improvement.
• Performs other duties as requested.

Work Experience

• Focuses on employee relations centered on trust and teamwork.
• Demonstrates a personality that works in cooperation with other team members towards Building a sense of company teamwork.
• Focuses on continually improving skills as outlined during performance review.
• Attends all required training as outlined on the SAIA training matrix.
• Basic math skills are required.
