We seek a Senior Business Systems Analyst with experience in the Public Safety and Criminal Justice domain.

To be considered, candidates must have experience serving as a Senior Business Analyst on Public Safety and Justice information technology projects.

This 12 month contract opportunity requires you to work onsite 2-3 days per week in San Jose, CA.

Position Title: Senior Business Systems Analyst – Criminal Justice Systems

Objective: This role involves providing services for the Inmate Tracking System (ITS) and Inmate Records Information System (IRIS) Projects.

Typical Deliverables:

• Research and understand the scope and business requirements of the ITS and IRIS projects.
• Ensure completion of interface development for the ITS project by collaborating with business analysts and developers to create specifications, interface design documents, and conduct data compliance reviews.
• Collaborate with project subject matter experts to implement multifactor authentication, active directory integration, and single sign-on for the ITS project.
• Support the operational readiness review and user training tasks for the ITS project.
• Complete assigned tasks for the IRIS project, including validation of technical requirements and business analysis documentation for interfaces like Healthlink/EPIC and DataWorks.
• Work with our network support team to conduct Spartan device testing for the ITS project.
• Support developers in testing interfaces for the ITS project and assist business analysts with user acceptance testing.
• Complete disaster recovery tasks for the ITS project.
• Provide operational support and knowledge transfer to County resources for both the ITS and IRIS projects.

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Experience in a criminal justice systems environment.
• Two or more years of experience as a senior business systems analyst, including handling operational requests and working on large-scale projects.
• Experience in the Public, Safety, and Justice domain.
• Strong business analysis skills with an understanding of Waterfall and Agile principles.
• Proficiency in project management for handling multiple tasks.
• Data analysis experience, including MSSQL, data extraction, querying, data validation, Microsoft Excel, and PowerBI.
• Experience in data migration and system integration.
• Technical security knowledge, especially in compliance with criminal justice information system data.
• Strong understanding of operating systems, applications, databases, networking, and security systems.
• Experience in authoring, documenting, and diagramming.
• Ability to mentor junior business analysts.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, presentation, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Teamwork and collaboration skills.

Desired Qualifications:

• Four-year college degree in Information Technology or seven years of relevant work experience, including at least two years as a senior business systems analyst.
• Business Analysis certifications such as CBAP, CBDA, CPRE, BPA, AAC.

Contract Term: 12 months On-Site Requirements: Hybrid, with the resource needed on-site 2-3 days per week.
