onemi is seeking Facilities Technician in our Gresham, OR site. Reporting directly to the Facilities Manager, this is for a position that is primarily responsible for the operation and maintenance duties of facilities systems in a semiconductor FAB.

This position will also be required to perform a variety of facilities preventative and corrective maintenance activities in the areas of general building maintenance, electrical, instrumentation calibration, plumbing, and fire protection systems.

We are searching for a candidate with a strong understanding of facilities, plant maintenance and operation.

This position is a compressed 12-hour shift rotating 3 days and four days every other week.

Responsibilities include :

• Maintain, operate, and repair facilities systems and equipment according to specifications. This includes general building maintenance and other tasks assigned.
• Ensure systems operate within specified parameters and respond to alarms accordingly.
• Works with manufacturing on repairs to facilities infrastructure and other services to FAB tools and equipment.
• Responsible for planning, identifying, and procuring parts for repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Performs periodic or special inspections (R&R) of the premises and equipment to determine its status and repair it as necessary.
• Works on moderately complex assignments where judgment is required in resolving problems and making recommendations.
• Locates and leverages all types of equipment documentation.
• Maintains and updates electrical documentation, software, programs, and operational parameters.
• Solicit competitive bids when necessary to obtain fair pricing for parts and services.
• Utilize CMMS software to schedule preventive and unscheduled maintenance.
• Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems, including chilled and hot water, process cooling water, compressed air, exhaust systems, fire suppression systems, cleanroom and non-cleanroom HVAC equipment.
• Work near hazardous chemicals, high- and low-temperature liquids, gases, and machinery / equipment.
• Work directly with Facilities Engineering on system installations or modifications which may maximize equipment efficiencies and or reliability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 4 years related experience.

Requirements :

• Must be able to stand / work for up to 12 hours, lift, and carry up to 50Ibs.
• Able to work 12-hour shifts. Expecting to cover other shifts based on business needs.
• Must be able to work from detailed blueprints, drawings, sketches, technical manuals, and building codes.
• Able to follow work orders and written or verbal instructions
• Able to operate motorized vehicles, Trucks, Forklifts, Person Lifts
• Team oriented. Able to work cooperatively to build and sustain positive and collaborative working relationships with peer technicians on all shifts as well as engineering and customers.
• Individual initiative and self-motivated, able to work independently.
• Ability to identify, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and mechanical problems.
• Effective project management skills, strong ability to translate priorities into field decisions with the ability to exercise good judgment in the absence of specific direction.
• Able to act independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments
• Able to perform work from a ladder or man lift.
• Communicate well both orally and in writing.

Skills Desired :

• Competency and experience with CMMS programs, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills
• Experience operating Facilities systems from SCADA or DCS software programs for building automation.
• Interpret and work from detailed blueprints, P&IDs, drawings, sketches, and technical manuals.
• Electrical license and ability to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, including electrical switchgear and distribution systems in the medium and low voltage ranges, FLS systems, PLC and DCS control systems, and electromechanical systems.
• Provide diagnostics, repair, and modifications of industrial process control instrumentation, including planned maintenance calibrations of a wide range of instrumentation.
