Job Summary & Responsibilities Support New Product Integration (NPI) activities by collaborating in a team setting with Electrical and Application SW Developers Perform requirement analysis and capture, provide detailed SW design, code and unit test for new embedded software (firmware), and work thru System integration and test phases Develop all necessary documentation Performs code/design reviews for all deliverables with the systems engineers, software developers, and other technical staff Qualifications Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, related field or equivalent experience 5 years of embedded software development (design and development) using C and/or C Demonstrated experience with embedded microprocessors (CPUs) and/or microcontrollers (MCU), Microchip a plus Low-level device driver development, experience with microcontrollers and application processors Demonstrated experience with typical embedded systems tools, compilers, debuggers and IDEs Familiarity with low speed communication protocols such as CAN, UART/RS232/RS422/RS485, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, etc. Strong debug skills: reading schematics, comprehending component datasheets, and using oscilloscopes and analyzers.
