STATEMENT OF WORK
Client’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tool, SAP ECC, is broadly used across business processes and serves as the system of record for activities related to: Finance, Asset Management, Procurement, Materials Management, Human Resources, Payroll, and Utility functions.
SAP ECC is reaching end of life and the client decided to upgrade to SAP S/4HANA Rise and take advantage of improvements in certain areas including: data migration, Customer Vendor Integration (CVI), New GL and Grants Module implementation. Similarly, SAP no longer support the Customer Service module (transaction CIC0) in SAP S/4HANA. CIC0 supports efficient management of day-to-day service interactions with external customers. SAP’s recommended replacement for CIC0 is Service Cloud. Another component of this project is the upgrade of 3rd-party software, BDEX and Xponential, to versions compatible with S/4HANA. 3rd-party upgrade projects will be managed by the respective vendors and COT Project Manager (PM) is expected to coordinate these projects’ timeline with S/4HANA and Service Cloud projects.
Hanalytics, a parallel project, is the remediation of HANA calculation views in SAP ECC to convert/transform to Core Data Services (CDS) views in S/4HANA Rise. This project has a dependency with S/4HANA and Service Cloud project and tight coordination between the projects is of outmost importance.
Two distinct RFPs were issued to partner with System Integrators (SIs), who will lead and support the implementation. The client is seeking a project manager to manage these two (2) parallel projects.
The selected SIs will assign project manager/s; however, client also needs a project manager for management, tracking, and communications focused on our project teams, sponsors, and stakeholders.
