BENEFITS OF JOINING TEAM OAC:
Primary Objective:
In broad terms, briefly state the major purpose or primary objective of this position.
Provides the leadership needed to ensure services provided meet the goals of the individuals served and the mission, philosophy of the agency. Participates in ensuring each individual served has a clean safe home environment.
Essential Functions and Scope:
Using brief narrative statements, describe each major function or responsibility explaining the scope of the function as appropriate.
• Investigates and follow-up on serious incidents, abuse and neglect reports. Make initial contacts and follow through with reports as required.
• Creates the plan of corrections for Licensing and Certification programs
• Ensures compliance of state, federal and company regulations in the operation of each group home.
• Serves as a liaison for Open Arms Care Corporation and Department of Human Service, Department of Licensure and other external agencies.
• Serves as a trainer within the agency for orientation, on-going in-services as needed.
• Serves as a liaison for parents/guardians of clients served when necessary
• Participates in training to continually improve expertise.
• Attend house meetings as needed.
• Makes periodic visits to group homes at least monthly to review client inventories, fire drill book outlined grid procedures complete group home inspections, MSDS, Disaster Manual and report findings to appropriate parties.
• Trains and coordinates the Quality Team Review.
• Develops action plans for the Quality Team Review.
• Completes utilization reviews semi-annually along with Program Managers.
• Ensures client incident reports are reviewed daily and reported weekly and monthly to in house and state authorities, as well as make recommendations, prepare statistical report, and complete all follow up documentation.
• Participates in the schedule functions of the administrator-on-duty.
• Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Knowledge skills and abilities to perform job duties
College degree in related field.
Minimum of three years of experience in the field of Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities.
Must have valid driver’s license.
Supervisory experience preferred
Competencies:
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Ability to teach, instruct and implement policies and procedure.
Employees Supervised:
Assigned employees varies.
Other Pertinent Job Information: (Such as, American with Disabilities Act – ADA requirements for certain hourly positions).
