Open Road Harley-Davidson in Fond du lac, WI is seeking a highly motivated Sales Manager to join our team! The Sales Manager is responsible for motivating and directing a commissioned sales team to meet dealership sales goals and objectives while creating positive customer experiences.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Ensure efficient and profitable operation of Sales department that meets company expectations
- Ensure an adequate number of trained salespeople are available and on duty during hours of operation
- Arrange training and scheduling for all Sales department staff
- Review the previous day's customer summary sheet with each salesperson to evaluate daily Performance
- Address performance successes and shortcomings as necessary
- Approve motorcycle sales
- Ensure used motorcycles purchased or taken as trade are valued at a fair market price
- Ordering of new and purchase of used units
- Ensure that all units new and used are repaired, reconditioned or setup for sale
- Ensure that all merchandise in the department is displayed properly and that general housekeeping is done on an ongoing basis
- Ensure that the dealership’s desired product mix is available at all times
- Abide by and enforce all dealership policies pertaining to the department
- Project a positive and professional image at all times
- Maintain a positive working relationship with all employees
- Ensure contracts in transit are flowing properly
- Maintain Business office status and employees
- Any other duties deemed necessary for the overall success of the department and dealership as a whole
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Computer Literate
- Energetic and self-motivated
- Able to motivate a commissioned salesforce
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proven leadership abilities
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 years’ experience as a sales manager in powersports
