IT Project Manager
3 Months Contract
Peachtree City GA 30269 (Hybrid 2 days onsite; 3 days at home each week)Basic FunctionResponsible for managing the planning, executing, delivering and closing of IT projects ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of stakeholders. Will also assist in the management of large & enterprise-wide IT projects.
ANALYTICS & INSIGHTS - Provides value added KPI & status reporting to IT leadership and Business partners. INFLUENCE & ENGAGEMENT = Collaborates with business units and multiple IT work groups, integrating people, processes, systems and technology platforms across departments and business lines. Defines, gathers, analyzes, and communicates key PMO execution metrics. Presents project metrics and measures to project team. Identifies opportunities, presents rationale and supports the integration of continuous improvements to PMO processes and tools and technology. Interprets and complies with company policies, procedures, and regulations, including attention to ISM (Information Security Management). Prepares reports, charts, graphs, and other statistical information. Initiates, proposes, or provides solutions through designated channels. PERFORMS OTHER RELATED DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
ACCOUNTABILITIES (PROJECT MANAGEMENT) - Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, resource allocation plans and ensuring that projects are executed according to plan and aligned with change management principles, methodologies and best practices.
Leading and managing cross-functional teams, setting goals and ensuring that team members are clear about their roles and responsibilities.
Identifies, assesses, and manages project risks and develops mitigation strategies to minimize their impact.
Develop, deploy and manage project plans containing Client organizational change management processes, techniques and tools to drive business results by changing behaviors.
Ensuring effective communication throughout the project, including regular status updates, progress reports and presentations to stakeholders.
Ensuring that project deliverables meet the required quality standards and managing quality control processes throughout the project lifecycle.
Managing changes to project scope, schedule, and budget, and ensuring that changes are properly documented, communicated and approved through established Change Request Governance procedures.
Actively participates in continuous improvement efforts concerning project management processes/methodologies, tools, and technology to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Ensures excellent and robust governance across all projects that support business objectives, solution delivery, and customer satisfaction.
Leads meetings, tracks achievement plans, milestones, implementation, and corrective actions. Uses project management skills to manage project roles, identify resource requirements, assemble the project team, meet training needs, define project deliverables and related tasks, provide customer satisfaction, reporting structures and to ensure the quality of projects.
Responsible for tracking and monitoring of all key program milestones, timing, open issues and providing feedback and key insights to management, stakeholders and sponsors.
Leads project meetings, prepares agendas and publishes minutes and tracks project actions and status. Follows up on all outstanding actions timely and provides frequent report status to stakeholders and project team members.
Reviews and makes recommendations as to the setup of processes and procedures aligned to reporting requirements of the project.
Leads requirement sign off meetings by assisting in preparation of documents and presenting requirements. This could include organizing meeting times and locations, updating a project schedule and ensuring that all necessary parties are aware of project deadlines.
Communicates with the project members to give updates on the project schedule, informing of project deadlines and any new developments in a project's status.
Ensures correct documentation is in use for projects to include use of appropriate templates, document control standards, proper signoffs logged, etc.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE: Proven experience in cybersecurity project management with firm understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.
Utilization of ServiceNow project management application.
