Intermediate Interior Designer
The role of an Intermediate Interior Designer is integral to the success of our interior design projects. We seek an Intermediate Interior Designer specializing in high-end residential projects. IDs are well-rounded individuals who has both the ability and experience to work from the concept phase through installation. They will be able to take ownership of the projects they are working on, while still being guided by the Studio Leader. It is imperative that Intermediate Interior Designers be skilled planners, designers, and project managers to be successful in this position, an ID must have a positive, can-do attitude and be eager to learn and grow professionally.
Required Credentials
Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design
5-7 years’ experience in residential Interior Design and Project Management
Experience in project management
High level of knowledge of the interior design market and FF&E
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, Microsoft office
Proficient in related design software, such as Photoshop Sketch Up
Knowledge of furniture specifications
Must be able to commute to office

Develop, bespoke, and innovative design sense
Intermediate level understanding of the construction process
Intermediate level understanding of different trades, how they interact, and the order of operations when multiple trades are involved
Growing aptitude to lead a job-site meeting with multiple stakeholders (eg. contractors, sub-contractors, clients, junior designers)
Strong analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Consistently poised and timely customer service
Required Traits
High sense of responsibility and good teamwork spirit
Highly organized, detail-oriented, motivated, and self-starter
Flexible, able to pivot between competing responsibilities without getting flustered
Initiative, desire to take ownership of their projects, even if they come into pre-existing projects at varying stages
Responsibilities
Design
Intermediate Interior Designers will assist work on the development of the design concepts from initiation through completion. They will contribute to the technical components of the design by evaluating floor plans, developing furniture plans, and elevating the design details. They will source materials, furnishings, artwork, and lighting. They will attend shopping visits, review and mark up renderings, draw sets alongside the project drafter, and assist with the presentation and pitch of the design to the client. They should be able to contribute to the meetings they attend.
Project Management
Intermediate Interior Designers must come highly prepared to all design meetings, both internal and client facing. They must assist with, and at times take the lead, with client communication and customer service. They will contribute to pricing, ordering, scheduling and installation of materials alongside the Purchasing Team. They will ensure all pricing is within budget, assist with client sign offs, and approve proposals and purchase orders.
