openigloo is Hiring a Sales Development Representative Near New York, NY

Openigloo is connecting renters with highly-rated buildings and landlords. By leveraging crowdsourced reviews and city data, Openigloo gives renters an inside look into any address or landlord before they sign a lease. Launched in 2020, and based in Industry City, Brooklyn, Openigloo is on a mission to support tenants and bring transparency to rental real estate.

We are hiring a founding Sales Development Representative . This role is a key hire to continue driving Openigloo’s growth and rapidly expanding customer base. Our founder-led sales approach has successfully landed master leases for beautiful apartments, and we are looking for an SDR to help drive more business. 

This role reports to Co-Founder & CEO Allia Mohamed. You will work closely with Allia to learn what has historically been working and solve problems to expand our customer base. This is the early stage of the company so we are looking for someone who is highly self-motivated and a team player. 

The role works onsite in our office in Industry City, Brooklyn, NY. 

Responsibilities 

  • Pipeline Generation: Proactively identify and target potential new customers through various methods such as cold calling, conference networking, market research, and social media outreach.
  • Sales Apprentice: work directly with Allia for the first few months to learn the ropes of the position and the sale. 
  • Deal Management: Successfully manage leads by guiding propsects through the entire sales cycle by teaching, tailoring and controlling the process. 
  • Sales Forecasting: Manage accurate sales forecasting through CRM management and communication with leadership. This involves strategic planning, reporting and consistent interactions with potential prospects. 
  • Quota Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed sales quota by effectively establishing meetings with new customers. 
  • Product & Industry Knowledge: Willingness to learn Openigloo’s offerings in depth while also staying current with industry trends. 
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the executive team and other departments of Openigloo for continued market strategies, product improvements and team building
  • Networking and Industry Events: Attend industry events, conferences, and networking events to build relationships, identify new sales opportunities, and stay informed about industry developments.
  • Continuous Learning and Development: Independent learning, open-minded and coachable for continuous improvement and development 

Requirements

  • 1 years of sales experience is required with a track record of meeting and exceeding quotas. 
  • Preferred experience or interest in real estate
  • Intellectual curiosity and a strong desire to grow your career into a top-performing seller
  • Exceptional listening skills with a detailed-oriented approach to documenting and organizing communication from customers
  • Creative problem solver and turn-every-page mindset for research projects and finding leads
  • Passion of early-stage company building and joining a scaling start-up
