About the Role
As the Financial Systems Director, you will lead the development, implementation, and administration of our organization's financial systems, with a primary focus on NetSuite. You will oversee and guide the design and creation of financial models for accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency and providing strategic guidance and support to senior leadership. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial systems management, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of financial processes and technologies.
The Director of Financial Systems reports directly to the Senior Director of FP&A.
What You Will Do
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a strategic plan for the financial systems to support the company's overall business objectives.
- System Implementation: Lead the implementation of new financial systems and upgrades, ensuring seamless integration with existing processes and systems.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting and operations.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with finance, IT, and other departments to understand their needs and ensure the financial systems meet business requirements.
- Data Integrity: Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial data within the systems.
- Compliance: Ensure financial systems and processes comply with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to users of the financial systems, ensuring they are proficient and comfortable with the technology.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure the quality and reliability of financial systems.
Who We Are Looking For
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial systems management
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or PMP preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Experience with financial system integrations and large-scale transformation projects.
- Knowledge of current financial regulations and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in financial software system Netsuite, advanced Excel skills, and knowledge of database management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
- Work is performed in a remote environment with possibility of periodic infrequent travel to headquarters.
Compensation Range: The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $190,000 and $250,000 per year; base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and years of experience. We typically target mid-range for well-qualified candidates. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including equity and full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. Following employment, growth beyond the hiring range is possible based on performance.
