This position will be based at the Wolsey, SD terminal. This position is subject to both pre-employment and random DOT drug testing. This job is responsible for the supervision of employees and the management of all pipeline and terminal assets within assigned areas.
Responsibilities include:
• Oversee daily facility operations, maintenance, metering, quality control, regulatory compliance including audits, required inspections, record keeping and high priority on safety.
• Manage expenses and implement programs and procedures to keep operational costs at minimum levels.
• Know and follow all state and federal regulatory permits and requirements.
• Provide local incident management to all emergencies.
• Be available 24/7/365 to resolve unintended and abnormal operational issues.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 8 years of pipeline and/or terminal operations experience required.
• Experience in Process Safety Management preferred.
• Possess Operator Qualifications is preferred.
• Knowledge of refined products batching pipeline movements and hydraulics is preferred.
• Ability to interact with and satisfy customers.
• Hazwoper training
• Valid driver’s licenses required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent PC skills, with proficiency in Microsoft products
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to independently proof work for accuracy
• Ability to manage time and scheduling to meet appropriate deadlines.
• Ability to work successfully in stressful situations and manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to use awareness of relationships and impacts of data trends and elements to appropriately recommend actions that impact both near and long-term company operations and profits.
• Ability to take directions from management and interact effectively with co-workers.
• Must have supervisory skills to effectively manage a staff of approximately 10 employees.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Basic knowledge of control systems, electronics, electricity, pumps, motors, refined products quality control, etc.
