This post exists to act as a role model for the HR function and provide effective HR support across the facility towards the delivery of organisational objectives and the fulfilment of HR functional agenda. The successful candidate should be a key and active member of the HR team focusing on the management of employee relations issues and supporting the HR Manager.
  • Responsible for the provision of HR support to managers and employees within the facility. This will include generalist HR activity such as recruitment, performance management, reward and recognition, employee relations and training and development.
  • To develop effective and professional relationships with managers across the facility as appropriate, to ensure the provision of high quality and effective advice on the HR implications of tactical daily activities. Participate fully in key people related change decisions, anticipating and effectively dealing with any people issues whilst advising, challenging and supporting managers in their role on people-related processes (e.g. performance management, personal and team development, resource planning and recruitment)
  • To deploy key HR initiatives, policies and training activities, to support the operationalization of other organisational programmes as required
  • To support managers in evaluating employee training needs and create and coordinate the fulfilment of training/ development plans (measuring the training effectiveness accordingly)
  • To provide high level support in relation to employee relations matters e.g. disciplinary, grievances, harassment, absence management, and the effective operation of the local consultation committee
  • To contribute as an active member of the HR department, working collaboratively on complementary HR activities ( induction, manager engagement training etc) and supporting monthly reporting processes as appropriate (collating weekly/monthly data)
  • To maintain the HRIS database to ensure records are accurate and up to date
  • To provide daily administrative support (e.g payroll instructions) and advice on all HR matters
  • To develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers within the organization demonstrating professional credibility
  • To champion talent development processes, supporting managers to identify and manage high performing / potential individuals and ensure succession is in place for key positions
  • To manage recruitment projects to source applicants, arrange interviews and feedback any other relevant information
  • Demonstrate an awareness of the importance of employee engagement and wellbeing to support staff performance and play a key role in the implementation of employee engagement activities
  • To undertake other duties not specifically stated above, which from time to time are necessary for the effective performance of the business
