1 / - MISSION:
To assist with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of IT systems/network in coordination with the System Engineer and System Owner.

2 / - MAIN ACTIVITIES:
• Ensures that proper connectivity exists between systems and networks • Troubleshoots and resolves network and software communication problems.

• Operates and tests network software and hardware configurations
• Performs preventive network hardware and software maintenance
• Provides backup support to other administrators/engineers concerning Network, Hardware and Software related issues
• Provide on-call support along with other administrators/engineers
• Backup Administrator
• Shopfloor Systems (printers/scanners/related equipment)
• Other projects as assigned (i.e. thin client, plant performance reporting issues)
• Participate in Continuous Improvement tools (POSITIVE, POMs, Focused Improvement Roadmap, etc)

3 / - SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES:
Competencies: • Must possess 3 years hands on experience

• Network or Microsoft certifications (MCTS/MCIPT/MCM/etc) recommended
• Ability to maintain and troubleshoot computer network hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Knowledge of network connections and facilities. Knowledge of a range of computer networking systems and protocols.
• Knowledge of current technological developments/trends for the various systems.
• Knowledge of computer network infrastructure requirements.
• Knowledge of current technological developments/trends for the various systems.
• Creative and customer oriented.
• Strong interpersonal skills required
• Strong written and oral skills required
• SQL 2005/2008 Administration knowledge a plus
• NetApp experience a plus
