Job Description Summary:

This position is responsible for performing inspections, data collection and reporting, acting as a quality system resource and documenting the quality system information. Performs tasks in compliance with Work Instructions to ensure quality and productivity standards are met. Current opening is on afternoon shift Monday to Friday. 

Starting base wage is $19.00 per hour .50 shift differential

Essential Functions:

• Perform full-color visual and other inspections and audits to ensure compliance with internal and customer requirements.
• Examine raw materials for quantity and general descriptive attributes and defects. This is done both visually and with measurement equipment (micrometer, calibrated torque wrench, force gauges, etc.)
• Compile, record, and process mandatory paperwork and forms concerning inspection results, tests, and audits.
• Leads continuous improvement programs using problem analysis and resolution skills.
• Works independently, efficiently manages time, and uses experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Employ effective, respectful and persuasive spoken and written communication skills.
• Ensure compliance with work instructions and/or Quality Management System (QMS) procedures.
• Ensure adherence to all current company policies.
• Maintain highest levels of ethics and confidentiality.
• Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others including wearing mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Functions effectively in a fast paced, diverse, team environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred but not required)
• 1 year or more related experience.
• Ability to operate basic computer equipment and peripherals as well as company standard software.
• Experience with past audits and/or inspections
• Able to effectively perform all basic mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.)
• Ability to effectively read, interpret and communicate industry and customer specific documentation.
• Satisfactory completion of a criminal background check.
• Verified eligibility for employment in the United States.
