JOB SUMMARY:
The Receiving II will be responsible for receiving, verifying count, labeling, palletizing and put away of incoming materials.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receiving
• Ensures the count of incoming materials against the PO is correct.
• Verifies that the quality of incoming materials is acceptable.
• Signs bills of lading, verifies shipper signature and retains the records.
• Enters receipts into the AS400 and Logimax inventory system.
• Prepares and prints labels for the team to affix to incoming materials.
• Instructs employees on how to palletize materials for warehouse storage (put away).
• Assists with training the team on use of handheld scanners and wrist scanners.
• Reports any discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Prepares and emails container status report to the purchasing team.
• Maintains container seals and other documents for customer audits.
• Assists in relocating materials into storage racks for future consumption.
• Reviews inbound container schedule and makes sure there is adequate personnel to unload containers to avoid demurrage charges.
Shipping
• Responsible for loading intercompany containers.
• Prepares requested product and ships product to designated location in Logimax.
• Reports any shortages to corporate Shipping Coordinator.
Safety
• Responsible for ensuring that all Safety policies and procedures are being followed at all times.
Quality Control
• Inspects incoming materials for damage prior to receiving and put away.
• Notifies the Quality Control Department of any problems with materials and/or finished goods and coordinates the inbound inspection of containers with the Quality Control department.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Two years of relevant experience
• Previous Forklift Operator experience is required
• Intermediate computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Ability to frequently stand/walk
• Ability to frequently lift and carry cartons weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to withstand prolonged periods sitting at a desk
• Frequent use of upper extremities to perform keyboard functions and work on a computer
