Due to continued growth and success, Bearon is looking for a Machine Shop Supervisor (working supervisor) in a brand-new position on the 3rd shift to join our team in Landisville, PA! The Machine Shop Supervisor will assist and direct employees involved in the machining of components and parts in a job-shop environment. They will participate in and oversee set ups and operations to maximize departmental quality and productivity, ensure schedules are met, and make sure material requirements are met. Will analyze and diagnose machining and fixture problems, machine malfunctions, etc. to coordinate corrective and preventive procedures and to prevent excessive downtime and interrupted schedules.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of shop personnel
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment
• Ensure parts are produced to quality standards
• Assist employees in reaching their full potential
• Assign work orders and ensure timely completion of projects
• Collaborate with management to develop and implement process improvements

Competencies:

• High School or equivalent degree required
• Minimum 6 years CNC machining experience required
• Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to develop programming skills
• Great attitude and attendance
• Ability to use hand tools and read blue prints
• Ability to use measuring tools and shop mathematics
• Ability to stand for 8 hours
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds over the course of a shift
• Problem Solving Skills
• Prior ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 implementation a plus
• 3 - 5 years Manufacturing industry experience required
