Opsource Staffing has partnered with a local Textile company.
Hours for this position :
- 3rd shift 12a-8a
- Will train on 1st shift then moved to 3rd
Pay for this position :
- $16 training pay
- $16.75 3rd shift
Job Description for Roving Operator :
- Patrol front and back of roving frame.
- Take empty drawing cans from back of roving frame and load to can conveyor.
- Take full drawing cans from can conveyor and push to back of roving frame.
- Creel full cans at the back of the roving frame.
- Piece-up ends at both front and back of the roving frame.
- Once roving packages are full (8 to 9-pound package), remove from roving spindle and place in metal buggy. Remove up to 96 packages per doff, twice per shift, per frame (Operator may be assigned up to 2 frames per shift).
- After doffing full package, replace spindle with new empty bobbin.
- Wipe down front of roving frame with brush twice per shift.
- Put sliver and roving waste in proper waste containers.
- Keep empty plastic bags (covers for full drawing sliver cans) off floor.
- Miscellaneous duties assigned by supervisor.
Job Description for this position for Carding Operator :
- Keep empty cans in can changer at cards.
- Push full card sliver cans to drawing.
- Push empty cans to cards.
- Clean card fronts (across apron section) and mop cards.
- Clean underneath all doffers (once per shift).
- Clean coiler and calendar rolls (once per shift).
- Clean blades, trumpets, and take-off rolls (once per hour).
- Piece-up ends and put waste in container.
- Check that licker-in waste is being removed.
- Remove coiler head chokes.
- Remove choke in cards.
- Take card waste up at end of shift.
- Repair and shut-off alarm for condensers.
- Dust mop all assigned cards.
- Sweep floor around cards and unifloc.
- Miscellaneous duties assigned by supervisor.
Job Description for Baler Operator :
- Open bales of fiber with wire cutters.
- Hand feed fibers into hopper.
- Install wires in baler for new bales.
- Operate baler to remove bales.
- Transport and weigh bales using forklift.
- Capture miscellaneous fiber to bale press.
- Sweep blender room once per day.
