1 st Shift Overhead Crane Mechanic OpSource has partnered with an industrial company located in Taylors, SC. Pay for the position: DOE Shifts for the position: 1 st Shift: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM Job Requirements:
Conduct regular inspections of overhead crane systems to identify any mechanical, electrical, or structural issues.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as lubrication, adjustment, and component replacement to prolong the lifespan of overhead crane equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems with overhead crane components, including motors, brakes, gears, and control systems.
Repair or replace faulty components and conduct thorough testing to ensure proper functionality.
Perform alignment and calibration of crane systems to ensure accurate operation and load handling.
Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including parts usage, labor hours, and equipment history.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working on overhead crane systems, including lockout/tagout procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.
Provide technical support and guidance to other maintenance personnel as needed.
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to implement improvements and upgrades to overhead crane systems. Qualifications for the position:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in mechanical or electrical fields preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a crane mechanic, preferably with overhead crane systems.
Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with tools and equipment commonly used in maintenance and repair activities.
Solid understanding of electrical systems, including wiring diagrams, schematics, and troubleshooting techniques.
Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems used in crane operations.
Ability to interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and drawings related to overhead crane equipment.
Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and specialized tools for testing and calibration purposes.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring the safety and reliability of overhead crane systems.
Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency repair calls as needed.
