We are looking for a Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a part time Food Service Supervisor, you are responsible for meeting the nutritional needs of our residents while leading a team of diverse individuals.

Responsibilities:

Promote and model teamwork.
Assists with executing daily meal services for all residents and guests.
Receives and resolves resident service concerns immediately in conjunction with the Direct of Food Service.
Ensures staff are trained properly to achieve maximum productivity and deliver high standards.
Follows up to ensure all tasks have been completed to maintain a like-new appearance.
Ensures team members attend service lineup and department in-service meetings.
Assist with ensuring a consistent cleaning and maintenance schedule is completed. Addresses and reports deficiencies and maintenance concerns.
Ensures that local and state laws, policies and procedures are consistently followed.
Demonstrates self-motivation, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Education and Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED
2 years' kitchen leadership experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility, Assisted Living, or Continuing Care Retirement Community
Ability to stand or walk for 8-hour shifts and lift at least 20 pounds.
Must have knowledge of dietary practices and procedures as well the laws, regulations and guidelines governing dietary functions in nursing care facilities.
You are a team player, dedicated to doing what it takes to support your team members and get the job done.

Working Conditions:

This position works in a fast-paced restaurant environment with exposure to heat, flames, cold temperatures, slippery floors and sharp cooking tools. This position may work in close contact with others. This position must comply with food safety regulations, which include appropriate clothing and protective gear such as hairnets, masks, disposable gloves and slip-resistant shoes.
