Optim Medical Center - Tattnall is seeking a full time Surgery Liaison Medical Records Clerk for our Reidsville location.

Primary Duties: Responsible for Physician coordination and cooperation of document completeness day of surgery
Responsible for Anesthesiologist and CRNA coordination and cooperation of document completeness day of surgery
Responsible for Nursing completeness of charts (Sign date time, etc)
Responsible for Physician signing in Clinician Hub and completing work
Responsible for scanning surgery charts and individual documents daily with end of day completion
Responsible for checking H&P before surgery for completeness
Responsible for checking Athena for all OP and IP Operative Notes on day of surgery and moving to chart
Responsible for surgery chart indexing and analyzation.
Responsible for surgery charts deficiency tracking.
Responsible for surgery queue maintenance
Responsible for scanning loose paperwork and complete charts, timely.
Responsible for rescanning signed or corrected documents
Reviews all charts for completeness before adding to shred box
Maintain and logs all shred boxes appropriately
Lifting Boxes of charts, Organizing boxes of charts
Transport and Retrieve charts from outside buildings including participating in building work days.
Transport boxes to buildings
Maintains hospital requirements, policy & standards on confidentiality and release of Protected Health Information
Back-up Medical Record Clerks workload
Annual Review of the following manuals: HIPAA, HIM Policy & Procedure and Fire Safety
Annual Competency Check/Knowledge of One Content, Paragon, Clinician Hub, Athena and ROI
