OPTIMA Organizational Solutions is Hiring a Head of Marketing and Brand Near Brighton, MI

Our client is a leading automotive modular systems supplier and has requested us to search for a Head of Marketing and Brand for their new e-mobility business, position will be located at Corporate offices in Brighton, MI.

DESCRIPTION

The individual will be working closely with the VP of Commercial Operations & Strategy to develop and deploy a marketing strategy aligned to the commercial strategy for the division. An experienced and creative leader with excellent communication and organizational skills, the ideal candidate will be excited to improve processes and be growth oriented, with an interest in building out best practices for go-to-market positioning, strategy, and tactical development and deployment.

This cross-functional role requires both strategic and tactical execution, strong project management and problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead a team. This leader will work closely with product, sales, program management and technical stakeholders to develop processes for a high growth marketing organization.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Brand Strategy Development

  • Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and industry developments to inform brand launch strategy.
  • Develop a detailed brand launch plan, including timelines, milestones, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Collaborate with product development teams to ensure the product aligns with the brand’s identity and market positioning.
  • Develop and execute an External Communications (XCOM) strategy to generate market visibility and media coverage for the brand launch. Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, influencers, and industry partners. Prepare press releases, media kits, and other PR materials.
  • Develop and manage the brand’s digital presence, including website, social media profiles, and online advertising. Create and curate engaging content that drives brand awareness and customer engagement.
  • Develop and implement strategies for sustaining brand growth and relevance post-launch. Continuously monitor the brand’s market performance and adapt strategies as needed.

Strategic Marketing Leadership

  • Develop and lead a strategic vision that increases awareness of the corporate brand, upholds, and enhances the company’s corporate reputation and strengthens position as a leading company to work for within the sustainable mobility industry.
  • Lead market analysis and customer segmentation efforts to identify growth opportunities and target markets. Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure marketing strategies support overall business goals.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing communication strategies that enhance brand positioning and support business growth.

Revenue Growth and Market Expansion

  • Provide leadership in defining, mapping, and documenting key marketing campaign processes and developing standard work for the team. Provide recommendations to senior leadership on improvements to marketing processes that will drive scalability and efficiency.
  • Deliver impactful marketing campaigns that create awareness of products and services, nurture customers along their buying journey, and drive qualified leads to the sales team.

Team Management and Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing commercial marketing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Set clear performance objectives, conduct regular performance reviews, and support professional development opportunities for team members.
  • Ensure the marketing team has the necessary tools, resources, and training to achieve their goals.

Integrated Marketing Communications

  • Oversee the creation and execution of integrated marketing communications plans, including digital marketing, content marketing, advertising, and public relations.
  • Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all marketing channels and customer touch points.
  • Manage relationships with external agencies, vendors, and partners to enhance marketing capabilities.

Customer Engagement and Experience

  • Enhance the customer journey by partnering with sales and developing strategies that improve customer acquisition, retention, and loyalty.
  • Utilize customer feedback and data to inform marketing strategies and improve the overall customer experience.
  • Implement and manage customer relationship management (CRM) systems to track and analyze customer interactions.

Event Planning, Coordination and Logistics

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive trade show and event strategy that aligns with the company’s marketing and business objectives.
  • Identify key trade shows and events that offer the best opportunities for brand visibility, lead generation, and networking.
  • Develop and manage budgets for trade shows and events, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources.
  • Foster collaboration between internal teams, such as marketing, sales, and product development, to ensure cohesive event participation.
  • Oversee all logistical aspects of trade shows and events, including venue selection, booth design, transportation, and accommodation; Coordinate the setup and teardown of booths, displays, and other event materials; Ensure all necessary materials, equipment, and promotional items are prepared and shipped to the event location.

Budget, Performance Metrics and Reporting

  • Develop and manage the commercial marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources. Manage agency/contractor relationships to agree on scope of work and deliver results on time and within budget.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and campaigns.
  • Provide regular reports and analyses through bowlers tracking KPIs to senior management, highlighting successes, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 10 years of experience in commercial marketing, with a focus on strategic planning and revenue growth.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies that drive business results.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools, CRM systems, and analytics platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of current marketing trends and best practices.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation and data analytics.
