Optima Partners is Hiring a Revenue Manager Near New York, NY

This firm specializes in investment regulatory advisory services, with a strong presence in the US, Asia, UAE, and the UK. With a global team of 100-200 employees, the firm serves over 900 clients worldwide. The organization is committed to excellence in the investment advisory sector with the majority of clients as Hedge Funds, Private Equity, Broker-Dealer and Investment banks.

The ideal candidate will be based in our New York office and will be reporting to the Finance Director. This position will work in collaboration with our offshore accounting team to manage the firm’s global billing operations.

As a Revenue Manager, you will play a critical role in managing the full revenue process for our firm's clients. You will lead our revenue cycle team ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance with contractual terms. This role requires a meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal partners, staff, as well as clients, all in different time zones.

This is a hybrid position in our upper Midtown Manhattan office. Employee must be able to report to our Midtown office Tuesday through Thursday. Responsibilities Include

  • Owns customer billing cycle from contract initiation to cash collection, ensuring all customer data is recorded accurately in company ERP system.
  • Main point of contact for all customer contract onboarding working closely with our global service delivery partners, Finance and Operations teams.
  • Reviews customer commercial documentation for compliance with company policy and process and flags risks.
  • Owns month-end recurring billing cycle, revenue recognition, revenue close, and revenue reporting & analysis.
  • Administer billing processes to ensure invoice is valid, accurate and properly reflects contractual terms.
  • Collaborate with Billing Partners and external clients, as appropriate, to respond to inquiries and resolve billing issues and order billing adjustments
  • Review and perform audits of billings and billing adjustments.
  • Resolve complex billing issues.
  • Provide direction and guidance to offshore billing teams.
  • Develop and implement best practices and procedures to streamline the billing process and improve efficiency.
  • Manage collection of overdue accounts, serve as point of contact for external collection agency.

Requirements And Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
  • 3 years of work experience in a professional services billing environment; large law firm, consulting or accounting firm experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel, vendors, and clients
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Collaborative work style able to work independently and take initiative.
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, and commitment to meet deadlines and high quality standards.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide quality client service.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic accounting concepts and internal controls.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft suite applications.
  • Strong analytical skills
