Position Description:

• An Electrified Powertrain Functional Safety Software Engineer will create, implement, and validate the software algorithms that ensure our products meet the implementation of ISO26262.
• The controls and software include various monitors and barriers that ensure functionally safe operation of the electrified powertrain torque path and the prevention of safety goal violation.
• Attention to detail is key, as a functional safety software developer must deliver clean, understandable code that is traceable to requirements and test procedures.
• As a member of the electrified powertrain functional safety software team, you will join a vibrant group of individuals who work in collaboration with a wide range of teams across departments and engage in developing simple, safe solutions to deliver next generation electrified powertrain vehicles.

Skills Required:

• C Software Development, Matlab/Simulink Software Development
• Jira, Jama, Unity/Ceedling, GitHub and/or ClearCase

Experience Required:

• 1 year of automotive software development experience
• Awareness of ISO26262 and MISRA-C Electrified Powertrain Controls experience

Education Required:

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
• Master Degree
