Description

Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse in the Observation Unit, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care. Adhering to nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage," you will advocate for patients, families, and caregivers to ensure exceptional patient experiences and positive clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the patient's condition during admission and each shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes.
  • Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, ensuring thorough and timely documentation in the patient's medical record.
  • Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic responses, and take appropriate actions in case of unintended reactions.
  • Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, anticipating needs, and resolving issues.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range:

  • $27.72 per hour (up to 5 years of experience)
  • $33.00 per hour (up to 10 years of experience)
  • $36.30 per hour (up to 15 years of experience)
  • $39.60 per hour (15 years of experience)

Shift Differentials:

  • $3.00 per hour for nights
  • $2.00 per hour for weekends

Sign-On Bonus: Up to $20,000 (case-by-case basis)
Relocation Assistance: Available on a case-by-case basis

Position Details

Shifts Available:

  • Days (7 AM - 7 PM) with rotating weekends
  • Nights (7 PM - 7 AM) with rotating weekends

Patient Ratio: 1:5 - 1:6

Qualifications


 

  • 1 year of recent RN experience (acute care experience preferred, LTAC experience considered)
  • Florida RN license or appropriate compact licensure (active FL RN license required within 90 days of hire if holding a compact license)
  • Current BLS certification
  • ACLS certification preferred (required within 6 months of hire)
  • BSN preferred
