- As a PMO Project Manager at our client, you will be an integral part of their PMO team, assisting in the planning, execution, and monitoring of strategic projects. Project types could include Research & Development, Manufacturing, Customer Integrations, Mergers/Acquisitions, Cost Reductions. You will work closely with the VP of Global PMO to monitor and contribute to the successful delivery of projects within the organization. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead and contribute to the success of our PMO initiatives.
- Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation, in collaboration with project stakeholders.
- Resource Management: Efficiently manage project resources, including personnel, budget, and technology assets, to maximize project productivity.
- Risk Management: Assist in identifying potential project risks and contribute to the development of risk mitigation strategies. Monitor and track project risks.
- Timeline Adherence: Oversee project schedules, track progress, and implement strategies to mitigate delays, ensuring projects are completed on time.
- Change Management: Participate in change management efforts associated with projects to facilitate successful adoption of project outcomes.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure that deliverables meet or exceed quality standards.
- Budget Management: Monitor project financials, track expenses, and ensure projects are completed within budget constraints.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, status reports, change requests, and other project-related materials.
- Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with project stakeholders to gather information, provide updates, and ensure clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Reporting: Provide regular project status updates and reports to stakeholders, management, and clients.
- Governance & Process: Assist in establishing PM tools to be utilized globally & train project managers on methodology and tools. Ensure projects adhere to organizational standards, policies, and governance frameworks. Implement best practices in project management.
- Performance Tracking: Assist in establishing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and project metrics to measure project success.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or Business.
- 3 years proven experience as a Project Manager or similar role.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic project management environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Proficient in project management software (SmartSheet experience a plus) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
- PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
