Job Description:

The Optimoz team is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to drive growth and expand our client base within the commercial US market. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, business development, and relationship management within the software engineering or IT consulting industry. This team member will also lead our commercial Business Development and our Enterprise SaaS (optalk) efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Acquisition: Identify and target potential commercial clients, including but not limited to enterprises, SMBs, and startups, to generate new business opportunities.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share within the commercial sector.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in target organizations to understand their needs, challenges, and objectives.
  • Solution Selling: Collaborate with our technical team to understand our software engineering capabilities and tailor solutions to meet the unique requirements of commercial clients.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches to prospective clients, showcasing our value proposition and competitive advantages.
  • Negotiation and Closing: Lead negotiations, overcome objections, and close deals to achieve sales targets and maximize revenue generation.
  • Market Analysis: Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities for business growth and differentiation.
  • Pipeline Management: Manage and maintain a robust sales pipeline, accurately forecasting revenue and tracking progress against targets.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and delivery, to ensure alignment on client needs and successful project delivery.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in commercial business development and sales within the software engineering or IT consulting industry.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering concepts and technologies.
  • Experience in Enterprise/B2B SaaS business development and sales.
  • Experience building out a new sales funnel, team, and process.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute sales strategies.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on exceeding targets and driving business growth.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
