Medical practice is seeking to hire a full-time Certified Medical Assistant. The ideal candidate should have the ability to multitask while working in a very busy office and be a strong team player and display compassionate care toward patients.
- Measuring and recording vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, weight, and height
- Instructing patients on medication administration, diet, exercise, and other physician-directed orders
- Keeping accurate patient records and ensuring that all related reports, information, and lab results are filed and organized with their patient records
- Keeping exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies and instruments
- Preparing and cleaning examination rooms between patients
- Answering phone calls from patients, physicians, and pharmacies
- Calling in prescriptions and prescription refills
- Working Pre-Authorizations for medications, including denials and appeals
- Assisting patients with enrolling in patient assistance for medications
- Minimum one year experience EMR Experience (eClinicalWorks)
