Financial Analyst

Palo Alto, CA

$50 – $55/hour

One of our TOP clients, a highly sought-after Bay Area employer, is seeking a professional and detail-oriented Financial Analyst who can hit the ground running! In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing, preparing, and summarizing internal and external financial reports. To be successful in this role you should have the ability to set high but achievable goals, the ability to work independently, and have excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Perform and design ad-hoc analyses of large complex data sets
• Reconcile complex accounts
• Construct and assemble data for budgeting and decision-making; develop conclusions, and present high-level summary of recommendations
• Conduct analysis and resolution, and recognize exceptions
• Participate in developing solutions that may require policy changes or the development of new processes, and maintain broader organizational perspective in decision-making
• Execute internal control programs established by management, research new regulations, and recommend and implement approved changes
• Develop reports and presentations of complex financial data and metrics for management and third parties
• Develop and maintain desktop procedures and process documentation for area of responsibility
• Define requirements, develop and implement complex test cases, perform system testing and analyze results
• Participate in critical analysis of existing systems and processes, and identify opportunities for process improvement
• Supervise, train, and review the work of other staff, as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 4 years of directly related work experience
• Proficient in MS Office applications
• Strong analytical skills
• Healthcare or Academia experience is a plus!
