Overview:The CNC Machinist will operate multi-axis lathes in support of machining and other process which includes tasks such as loading and tending runs of parts, or performing one-step operations on individual parts.
Minimum Skill Qualifications:

• 1 years of experience operating a multi-axis CNC lathe which would include:
• Positioning and securing tools in holding device, machine tables, chuck, centers, and fixtures.
• Indexing turret and adjusting positions of tools at each station in relation to work piece to assure clearance between moving parts and machining of specified dimensions and tolerances
• Starting and observing machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.
• Prior use of standard hand tools
• Prior use of standard pneumatic tools
• Prior use of standard inspection tools i.e. calipers, micrometers, drop gauges
• Prior experience in precision metal machining
• Prior experience in machining with tolerances of /- .001
• Prior experience machining metals such as; stainless steel, ductile iron, Hastelloy

Essential Competences and Capabilities:

• Ability to read/interpret blueprints, job orders, tooling instructions, and standard charts for such specifications as dimensions, tolerances, and tooling instructions
• Perform housekeeping duties including 5S, coolant replacement, and TPM
• Follow Quality Policy and Procedures in all aspects of daily duties and responsibilities
• Willingness and ability to rotate into other positions within the team as required to meet production requirements
• Actively participate in defining idea and strategies to meet quality and performance objectives during improvement reviews within the team
• Actively participate in team meetings as required (safety, problem solving, etc.)
• Ability to problem-solve individually or as part of a group as job duties require
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Physical Demands and Environment Conditions:

• Continuously standing up to 8 hours

• Repetitive push or pull
• Ability to lift 10-20 pounds frequently without assistance and up to 50 pounds occasionally with assistance
• This position is performed in a manufacturing environment. May be exposed to:
• Loud operating machinery
• Wide temperature variations
• Exposure to chemicals, vapors and lubricants

Salary Range : $24.00 - $31.74
