Looking for a lab manager to oversee daily operations of a busy, upscale dental lab located in downtown Boston. The ideal candidate will possess excellent verbal and written skills to communicate effectively with clients and technicians, and will be able to work well both independently and as part of a team. We are looking for a fast learner with good problem solving skills, multitasking abilities, and previous experience in the dental field.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Responding to company emails
• Answering phones
• Hiring
• Invoicing
• Scheduling appointments and cases
• Cash collection
• Arranging delivery schedules and shipping
• Ordering technical components
• Annual medical device registration with the FDA
• Company correspondence
• Packing cases
• Maintaining office organization and workflow
• Assisting other departments as needed
• General office tasks (copying, scanning, filing, etc.)

Requirements:

• 1 year of experience in the dental field
• 2 years of managerial experience
• Available for full time work, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (with 1 hour unpaid lunch break)
• Skilled at basic computer usage (typing, emailing, adding/downloading attachments, basic Excel functions, etc.)
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Japanese language ability would be helpful, but is not required
• Must be career-minded, mature, organized, dedicated, loyal, and dependable
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to supervise others
• Must successfully complete a 3 month trial period

Salary will depend on experience. We will be happy to negotiate a higher salary for candidates with more experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 43 per week
