General Functions
Supervises and administers educational components and assists the manager/curator in program management. This position is responsible professional level supervisory and administrative position. An employee assigned to this classification of work is responsible for monitoring, evaluating, and controlling the educational activities of a program. Emphasis is on the control function of management to ensure compliance with educational goals.
Work is performed under the general supervision of the manager who reviews work through conferences, reports, and results achieved.

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelors or advanced degree in museum studies, museum education, public history, early childhood or early childhood development, or a closely related field and two (2) years applicable experience to include one (1) year supervisory experience. Or an equivalent of combined related education and work experience.

The above description and qualifications are not all-inclusive and represent a majority of the key responsibilities of this position. Work environment is a combination of office setting and providing educational programming for various ages, with some walking and driving between the office to the Museum and local businesses or schools; must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Hours Per Week: 40 Hours, exempt
Schedule: Generally, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday, evenings and weekends may be required for programming or special engagements.
