Description

We are currently seeking an Application Security Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Information Technology and Services industry. As an Application Security Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing and managing security measures to protect our applications and systems from potential threats. You will collaborate closely with the development team to ensure that security measures are integrated throughout the entire software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of applications for potential security vulnerabilities
• Develop and implement security protocols and procedures for applications
• Perform penetration testing and vulnerability scanning to identify potential security weaknesses
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure that security measures are integrated throughout the software development lifecycle
• Monitor and respond to potential security incidents, investigating and resolving issues as necessary
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and best practices in order to proactively identify and mitigate risks
• Conduct security audits and provide recommendations for improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Proven working experience as an Application Security Engineer or similar role
• Familiarity with secure coding practices and frameworks
• Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning tools and/or penetration testing
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to effectively communicate complex security matters to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Certifications such as Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are a plus
