ED Assistant

Baystate Health, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare quality and safety, is looking for a full time ED Assistant to join our team in Springfield, MA.

SCHEDULE:
• Nights

• 40 hours weekly, every other weekend and holiday

LOCATION: 
• BMC campus
• Springfield MA

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse, assist nursing staff and physicians with direct patient care and treatments, transports patients to tests and procedures, behavioral health interventions, and contribute to the overall orderliness and cleanliness of the unit. Must have demonstrated competency in simple mathematics, reading, writing, following instructions, and checking of patient records and forms.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School or GED; or equivalent experience

Preferred Work Experience: 
Experience in a Patient care setting

CPR: American Heart Associate, BLS
