Manage the site quality program under the auspice of the company Quality Assurance Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for implementing and enforcing all quality requirements in the Project Work Plan and Explosive Safety Submission (ESS).
• Ensure operations produce a quality product while adhering to federal, state, and naval regulations.
• Inspect procedures and policies for compliance to industry standards.
• Maintain quality inspections with through proper seeding program IAW ESS.
• Ensure paperwork and logs are maintained in a timely matter.
• Evaluate methods and means for cost effectiveness.
• Reduce waste, duplicated effort, and product failure.
• Ensure operations adhere to the project work plan.
• Conduct workforce training on ordnance.
• Communicate negative trends of production or quality to the project manager.
• Communicate major deficiencies to the Quality Manager and Project Manager.
• Coordinate efforts with SUXOS to streamline operations through experience and teamwork.
• Serves as site liaison to the on-site NAVFAC and third-party QA Safety Representatives.

Minimum Qualifications, Skills, And Educational Requirements

• Graduate of a qualified explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) school with at least eight years combined military and commercial UXO experience. As an exception, a UXOSO may be a graduate of a qualified UXO school and have at least ten years commercial UXO experience, as required by DDESB TP18.
• Graduate of a qualified explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) school with at least half a year of MEC supervisory experience. As an exception, a UXOSO may be a graduate of a qualified UXO school and have at least two years of MEC supervisory experience, as required by DDESB TP18.
• Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification IAW 29 CFR 1910.120 with current 8-hour refresher.
• Current 29 CFR 1910.120 HAZWOPER Physical
• U.S. Army the Corps of Engineers and Naval Facility Engineering Command Training Course Construction Quality Management for Contractors, or ISO 9001 certification
• Ability to work long hours outside in the elements.
• Working understanding of NAVSEA OP5, EM 385-1-1, EM 385-1-97, NOSSA, and MPPEH Requirements
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; ability to interpret and explain company policy concerning MEC safety practices to executives, managers, employees, and clients
• Intermediate user level of computer systems; Microsoft office software (word, excel, outlook), Adobe, inventory databases, and documentation control systems
• Valid Driver License

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
