Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill three part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Instructor positions for the Craft Center at Oregon State University (OSU).

Craft Center Instructors will teach a small group a non-credit class or workshop.
Instructors will emulate and abide by Student Experiences and Engagement mission, goals, and program focus.
Position Duties 90% INSTRUCTION - Develop lesson plans, teach, and demonstrate technique during weekly class time or workshop.
- Assist in the inventory and ordering of supplies, equipment, an tools as they pertain to their area of specialty.
- Be knowledgeable of Craft Center policies and procedures as they relate to their class.
- Be able to lift 25 lbs. as applicable.
- Ascertain and report equipment issues.
- Work with Craft Center Manager to offer new classes of interest.
- Possess ability to explain information and converse with customers/clients.
- Participate in policy and procedures as it relates to their area of specialty.
- Conduct studio orientation and training.

- Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
- Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
- High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
- Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
- Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
- Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
- Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*
*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered "full-time" by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the
Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
Additional Required Qualifications - Will vary depending upon instructional assignment.
Preferred (Special) Qualifications - Must exhibit a specialty in studio area or the equivalent experience and possess a thorough knowledge of the studio area they will teach in
- Prior leadership/teaching experience a plus
