The Associate, Customer Intelligence (Loss Mitigation) contributes to the post-closing team by effectively reviewing closed cases files to ensure they are in compliance with applicable regulations and laws for mortgage, auto & consumer products. Provides guidance and accurate information to lawyers and third parties, including other business areas to ensure required documents are correct and included in the file in a timely manner. Position works hybrid and is based in San Juan, PR. MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepares post-closing checklists for all assigned cases, ensuring the documents are complete and in order, if incongruencies are identified they are handled according to established procedures. Sends required documents to other areas (Loan Onboarding, Finance, etc.) to ensure system maintenances are processed after closing. Prepares the package of documents required for the title insurance policy and sends it after closing to Oriental Insurance. Monitors the receipt of legal/collateral documents and ensures they are received within established time frames; review received documents and notify to lawyers if any error or missing document are identified, when documents are in order, sends the originals to Collateral Custody Department or to Investors and/or Agencies, as applicable. Prepares Mortgage Note Release Forms and process the request in compliance with Collateral Custody Unit's procedures and requirements, manage the safekeeping procedures to keep the original mortgage notes as well as any negotiable instrument. Notifies all areas once a Loss Mitigation is closed to avoid non-compliance with CFPB regulations. Other duties may be assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Associate degree in business administration or related field required. One year (1) experience in a financial services company required. Minimum education and experience required can be substituted with the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities. Excellent knowledge in industry operating policies, procedures and regulations (state and federal). Strong knowledge of products related to auto, consumer and mortgage banking preferred. Excellent analytical skills to determine critical issues and areas in need of improvement and the ability to find creative solutions while considering all aspects, departments and individuals affected. Superior communication, presentation, and negotiation skills to communicate across a broad base of internal & external customers. Excellent communications skills in writing and verbal, in both English and Spanish highly preferred.
