About you

We are looking for a Director, Partnerships Development to join our team who will have responsibility for identifying opportunities and maintaining a strong pipeline of prospects with a focus on growing revenue and economic value for Origence, credit unions and dealer partners.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Increase Revenues and Economic Value of New and Existing Alliances:
  • Identify and prioritize companies that will be impactful to Origence’s clients with new loan origination opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective partners through proactive outreach and relationship building and management.
  • Grow and maintain relationships with senior key players and executives with partners.
  • Lead negotiation efforts and collaborate with internal stakeholders to finalize partnership agreements.
  • Work with cross-functional teams like product, marketing, engineering, analytics, sales, and operations to drive the implementation of partnership programs and initiatives to ensure successful integration and launch.
  • Support and perform product sales meeting / demos as necessary
  • Monitor and analyze partnership performance metrics, providing regular reporting and insights to senior leadership.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and market developments to identify new opportunities.
  • Develop trusting relationships and open communication, while accepting feedback
  • Be an expert with respect to understanding how competitors are positioned in the market to try and win against Origence
  • Champion Innovation Across Company:
  • Identify opportunities within existing and new strategic alliances to innovate new to market differentiators
  • Support and own special projects as needed
  • Evaluate New Strategic Alliance Opportunities:
  • Lead analysis on new strategic business opportunities including understanding of potential organizational impacts
  • Develop financial models for value creation and possible implementation plan scenarios
  • Establish formalized business case recommendation(s) and communicate with management

The Ideal Candidate:

Education:

  • B.A or B.S degree or commensurate experience

Experience:

  • Proven leadership experience in strategic partnership business development, or related roles with an established network of contacts within automotive manufacturing, and financing marketplaces.
  • Proven track record of successfully identifying and executing partnership opportunities that have driven business growth.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to navigate complex partnership agreements.
  • Clear, informative and persuasive communications skills with the ability to present complex information to a broad audience.
  • Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial attitude, and relentless at finding creative ways to grow the affinity partner business.
  • Strong understanding of business development and models, expansion opportunities, and strategic planning

Specialized Skills:

  • Excellent communication & presentation skills
  • Ability to articulate strategic planning and opportunities to senior level management
  • Excellent influencing and negotiating skills
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office programs
  • Able to travel extensively

The starting salary range for this full-time position in Irvine, CA is $128600 - $160800 per year. This base pay will take into consideration internal equity, candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge and experience among other factors. Origence maintains a highly competitive compensation program. Under company guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual bonus to provide an incentive to achieve targeted goals. Bonuses are awarded at company’s discretion on an individual basis.
