Origence is looking to hire a talented Operations Manager!As a hands-on leader, Operations Manager (“Ops Manager”) for FI Connect will serve as an operator, subject matter expert, and team manager. The Ops Manager directs all day-to-day operations and loan administration activities for FI Connect, while also ensuring risk management, underwriting, processing and funding activities are carried out in accordance with established policies, procedures and goals. The Ops Manager successfully evaluates operations, then creates and executes strategies to drive growth efficiently, while operating in a safe and sound manner consistent with Board mandates. The Ops Manager will lead multiple teams and deliver desired results in a fast-paced environment, on a national scale, and across multiple product lines.
Functional ManagementWhat you will do:
  • Assists borrowers, partners, and other stakeholders in resolving lending related problems. Handles borrower and partner complaints and problems in a tactful and courteous manner at all times.
  • Supports loan underwriting and processing activities within defined authority as needed.
  • Works with internal and external partners to promote organizational efficiencies that improve quality and quantity of service with technology, enhanced employee productivity, and communication.
  • Works with leadership counterparts to delegate tasks with internal and external resources, focusing on workload, deadlines, area of expertise and availability.
  • Serves as a business subject matter expert for all relevant processes, systems and implementation activities.
  • Actively participates in prospecting and client calls, presentations, and events as needed.
  • Continuously and effectively works collaboratively across all business units within the organization to meet collective goals and objectives.
Support Internal And External Stakeholders
  • Assists with development and maintains FI Connect’s operational policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Oversees the training and development of FI Connect staff, and collaborates with partners to ensure consistent training, understanding, and execution of mutually agreed policies, procedures, and practices across all lending programs.
  • Develops and maintains technical and operational documentation and expertise for various systems (including, but not limited to the loan origination system, reporting platforms, and business development tracking).
  • Works with internal and external partners to establish and implement change control and best practices with regards to system maintenance, configuration, development, testing, data integrity, etc.
  • Coordinates, monitors, and controls centralized loan administration, ancillary loan products and servicing systems. Ensures that systems are efficient and effective, contribute to a high level of service, and protect the value of FI Connect’s loan portfolio.
  • Lead and/or serve as a member of all key committees, including but not limited to Management, ALCO, Pricing, ALLL, and Enterprise Risk committees.
  • Assist with project management. Work closely with stakeholders to communicate a continuous flow of information related to project status, as well as set up project priorities to resolve challenges impeding the completion of projects.
  • Partner with internal and external teams for marketing, finance, and operations to ensure adherence to risk appetite and credit risk management framework for appropriate risk adjusted returns.
Quality Assurance
  • In collaboration with internal partners develops, monitors, and consistently evolves quality assurance for all lending activities, programs, and projects, including establishing standards, scorecards, and design and testing of automated QC reporting and monitoring.
  • Ensures lending systems, policies, procedures, and practices are compliant with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Provides support to ensure successful implementation and ongoing performance of all loan production goals for FI Connect.
  • Evaluates recommendations for new lending programs to assess their potential for scale and the impact on the overall level of operational risk and cost effectiveness.
EducationThe ideal candidate:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, or combination of related courses and experience.
Experience
  • Ten to fifteen years of similar or related experience in lending operations with a strong focus on consumer lending
  • Proven ability to navigate complex cross-departmental priorities to impact change through partnership or client implementations experience required
  • Extensive experience in consumer loan underwriting, processing, and systems management/optimization
  • Relevant experience in lending administration, operations, risk management, and credit functions within a regulated financial institution
Specialized Skills
  • Exceptional organization skills and detail-oriented with an ability to prioritize and execute tasks quickly and effectively
  • Proven ability to develop and build processes and procedures
  • Broad knowledge of risk management practices and experience in developing quality assurance programs
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple high stakes projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to manage shifting priorities, demands and timelines with confidence and positive attitude

The starting salary range for this full-time position is $74,700 - $93,300 per year. This base pay will take into consideration internal equity, candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge and experience among other factors. Origence maintains a highly competitive compensation program. Under company guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual bonus to provide an incentive to achieve targeted goals. Bonuses are awarded at company’s discretion on an individual basis.
