About the Role

We try to break our build and then rebuild our technology better to meet our customers’ needs. This philosophy is at the core of how we handle testing. QA Engineers write scripts to automate testing and create tools so other developers can test their own code. As a QA Engineer, you navigate our implementation for different products including hardware, software, and cloud, identify weak spots, and constantly propose better designs and creative ways to identify potential problems. You'll have a huge impact on our fast-growing suite of patented offerings.

• Lead the utilization and/or development of automation tools or scripts to improve product and engineering testing
• Develop test plans based on product designs, and lead test plan reviews with engineers and other stakeholders
• Identify issues and assist the product team to fix and/or improve it
• Define test frameworks, test preconditions, and other test control and reporting functions to enable others to test functionality
• Drive opportunities and lead efforts to improve existing test infrastructure or create new test infrastructure to increase efficiency and productivity in test case development, scheduling, or deployment
• Participate in product design reviews with product managers, software/hardware engineers, and other stakeholders to contribute to product design, testability, and implementation

About You

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience in coding, developing test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases, and debugging
• At least 1 year of experience working as the lead QA on a cross-functional product team
• Strong familiarity with Linux, shell script and embedded systems
• Strong familiarity with defect management tools (e.g. JIRA, GitHub)
• Understanding of Python/C/C codes is preferred
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills with a team-first mindset
