Orion is Hiring a Director, Enterprise Trading Near Philadelphia, PA

About This OpportunityAs a Director, Enterprise Trading, you will be responsible for managing the relationships between Wealth Management Trading and Orion Tech clients looking to outsource their trade desks. This includes 1) Attending prospect calls 2) Onboarding new firms 3) Maintaining client accounts in accordance with their selected investment methodologies including model maintenance, sleeve maintenance, allocating contributions, and distribution and fee funding. This responsibility extends to Orion Custom Indexing trade execution. The Director will participate in any other product development projects dealing with outsourced services. In This Role, You’ll Get To
  • Create, articulate, and execute against a strategic vision for the Enterprise Trading team as part of Orion Portfolio Solutions as a whole
  • Assess existing and look to expand the outsourced product and custody offerings of the Orion Wealth Management Platform including creating a best-in-class operations/service model that is repeatable and consistent
  • Work with executive leaders and peers across the firm to map enterprise and advisor needs
  • Define the vision and strategy to ensure successful end-to-end process integration
  • Identify operational risks and assess the adequacy of controls to manage such risks, including recommending enhanced or additional controls and/or overall process improvement
  • Assist and service Enterprise strategists and team members using Orion
  • Maintain relationships with our custodial partners and fund companies and understand their unique processes
  • Create, review, and process mutual fund and equity orders, block orders, and allocations
  • Review and enter trade corrections when necessary
  • Report on Best Execution and key indicators to display department success and prove industry compliance
  • Manage team members within department including but not limited to hiring, training and developing employees, delegating work assignments, writing and conducting performance appraisals, salary recommendations, and administering corrective actions
  • Mentor team members through instruction, coaching, providing real-time on-the-job experiences, modeling effective practices, and advising on methods used
  • Maintain industry knowledge and awareness of current market conditions
  • Create team structure that makes sense to accurately and effectively accomplish daily tasks
  • Review and build upon the existing SMA offerings and workflows of the Platform
  • Establish and manage SLAs that we are responsible for as well as our clients are responsible for delivering. Manage key performance metrics to ensure expectations are met on an ongoing basis
  • Proactively collaborate across internal departments to deliver cohesive solutions that ensure flawless execution and continued evolution
  • Participate in prospect due diligence assessments, presentations, and platform demonstrations
  • Develop deep understanding of Orion technology and how it can be best utilized within the TAMP to proactively advance these offerings for advisors
We’re Looking For Talent Who
  • Has working knowledge of how TD Ameritrade, Charles Schwab, Fidelity and other major custodians operate and interact with a firm similar to Orion
  • Has a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
  • Possess a minimum of 7 years of trading or related financial industry experience
  • Has a minimum of 3 years of management/leadership experience
  • Current Series 65 license
  • Obtains Orion Industry Certification
  • Owns and manages relationships with stakeholders directly and work effectively with people at all levels in an organization
Salary Range$103,584.00 - $162,615.00
The pay listed in this posting indicates the estimated pay at the time of this posting; however, may vary depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
