The Role
MPP Orora is seeking a skilled and experienced Flat Die Cut Operator to join our converting plant team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating flat die cutting machines to
produce high-quality finished products that meet ISO9001 : 2015 quality standards.
This position will report to the : Plant Superintendent
Location : Brea, CA
FLSA Status : Non-exempt
What You’ll be Responsible For in this Role
- Operate flat die cutting machines to cut and shape materials according to customer specifications
- Ensure that materials are loaded onto the machines correctly and that the machines are properly set up
- Monitor the machines during operation to ensure that they are cutting accurately and efficiently
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure that they meet ISO9001 : 2015 quality standards
- Adjust machine settings as necessary to achieve optimal performance and quality
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to keep them in good working condition
- Communicate with the production team to coordinate production schedules and ensure timely delivery of finished products
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe work environment
What We’re Looking For
Minimum Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of experience operating flat die cutting machines in a manufacturing or converting plant environment
- Knowledge of ISO9001 : 2015 quality standards
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in a noisy environment
