Job Purpose:
The Patient Registration Representative is responsible for registering new and existing patients, handling patient payments and questions about bills, and providing timely and accurate information to patients and customers.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greets patients and families as they arrive to the clinic
- Directs patients. Monitors lobby and waiting room areas
- Directs non patient visitors to their destination
- Provides assistance to patients using check-in kiosks
- Communicates wait times with patients when necessary
- Creates new and updates existing patient charts; verifies patient demographics
- Collects co-pays and verifies correct insurance information
- Addresses patient questions regarding eligibility and/or balance concerns
- Answers incoming calls in a friendly and professional manner

Education and Experience Requirements: • High School Diploma or GED
- A minimum of one year of experience in a similar position and/or performing similar tasks
- Working knowledge of Microsoft and Google Suite
- Fluency in speaking Spanish preferred
Environmental/Working Conditions:
Working environment is in an office/clinic setting. Consistent work hours outside of normal business hours, including evenings and weekends.
Physical/Mental Demands: • Sitting and standing for extended periods of time
- Lifting, carrying and/or moving objects up to 20 pounds in a manner consistent with most office environments
- Finger dexterity for typing on a keyboard and using a mouse for extended periods of time
- Vision (e.g., depth perception, color vision, strong vision up close); hearing (e.g., high pitch sounds, soft or distant sounds)
