In this role you’ll be responsible for assessing, planning, and providing individual, and group psychotherapy as assigned. The therapist collaborates within a multi-disciplinary setting with other OMC staff to provide comprehensive treatment to the patients and families they serve.

Typical Schedule

Monday thru Friday, daytime hours

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in social sciences.
  • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure in both Wisconsin and Minnesota. Acceptable licensures include Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Psychologist (LP).
  • In good standing with professional licensing board(s).
  • Clinical mental health experience with variety of ages and clinical presentations, preferred.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Collaborate within an interdisciplinary treatment team and partner with patients and their family.
  • Assess, plan, and implement psychotherapeutic services for patients.
  • May work with older children, adolescents, and adults with mental illness, and/or addiction, as assigned.
  • Provide a comprehensive range of therapy services to patients and their families.
  • Provide individual and group psychotherapy.
  • Seek to enhance the wellbeing and function of patients and their families.
  • Coordinate care with providers or other caregivers external to the treatment team, as relevant and appropriate.
  • Lend your therapy expertise to the treatment team and across the organization, as desired and as appropriate
  • Attend required training seminars, group supervision, and regular staff meetings as appropriate.
  • Maintain clinical records in compliance with OMC policies and regulatory standards.
  • Support quality assurance and peer review activities as assigned.
  • Maintain professional and collaborative relationships with colleagues in the program and broader OMC.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client medical records according to OMC policy, HIPAA, and 42 CFR Part 2.
  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely billing records per OMC policy and payer requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with OMC policies, external regulatory standards, and payer requirements.
  • Oriented and educated in providing person centered, trauma informed, culturally responsive care.
  • Support new employee hiring by sitting in on selection committees and offering training and education as delegated or assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Demonstrates OMC’s behavioral standards and values in daily work.
  • Stated desire to work with older children, adolescents, adults, and their families.
  • Ability to maintain required malpractice insurance.
  • Ability to effectively, professionally, and efficiently communicate in written and verbal form.
  • Ability to smoothly and rapidly shift between dissimilar tasks.
  • Ability to react quickly and calmly as part of a team to handle volatile and potentially emergency situations.
  • Ability to make effective decisions while in stressful situations and circumstances.
  • After training, be able to support management of disruptive and explosive patients.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standard governing care delivery and operations.
