Oseran Hahn P.S., a 60 year old regional law firm with its primary office located in Bellevue, Washington, seeks a litigation paralegal to provide support to attorneys in the litigation and family law practice group.

Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and dedicated litigation paralegal with at least 5 years of experience in commercial litigation and family law litigation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of legal procedures, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, affidavits, discovery requests, and responses.
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, trials, and depositions.
  • Manage case files, ensuring all documents are accurately filed and up to date.
  • Coordinate and communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts.
  • Analyze and summarize complex legal and factual issues.
  • Maintain and manage litigation calendars, including scheduling and deadlines.
  • Conduct interviews with clients and witnesses to obtain relevant case information.
  • Assist in the development of case strategies and provide recommendations to attorneys.
  • Prepare trial exhibits and organize evidence for presentation in court.
  • Support attorneys during court proceedings and depositions.
  • Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to commercial litigation and family law.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on commercial litigation and family law litigation.
  • Paralegal certification from an accredited program preferred.
  • Washington Notary license or willingness to become a notary.
  • Extensive knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
  • Proficient in legal research tools and software (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.

This position will require work to be performed onsite at our Bellevue office, but we do offer twice weekly remote work days once the candidate is deemed to be proficient and able to work productively from home.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
