POSITION SUMMARY: The College of Nursing Adjunct Assistant Professor (Non-Nursing) is a member of the academic faculty entrusted with the development, implementation, evaluation, and optimization of the College of Nursing's program(s) curricula. The Professor serves the college, its students, faculty, staff, the profession, and community and is expected to participate and contribute to nursing scholarship through research activities, presentations, or publications. Each faculty member is expected to abide by and promote the Mission, philosophy, and expected outcomes of the college and its programs within the philosophic framework and policies of OSF HealthCare and the College Board. Adjunct faculty appointments reflect a limited assignment for one or more specific courses and/or semesters.

The required skills for this job includes a background in statistical analyses, teaching statistics, scholarly projects and/or research. Will be eventually teaching intermediate statistics and assisting with statitical analyses wtih doctoral students.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: Master’s in teaching area
• Experience: Teaching experience
• Experience in the area of teaching responsibility .
• Other: Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. ,

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Record of refereed paper/posters at professional meetings
• Record of refereed publications
• Doctoral degree from regionally accredited college or university
• Knowledge of teaching/learning theories and curriculum design Evidence of continued self-development within profession
• Record of scholarly presentations or publications
• Strong communication and organizational skills
