MAJOR POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

(i.e., Policies, procedures, goals, etc. for which you are responsible.)

• Develop, implement, and monitor HACCP plan to assure safe food handling practices.

• Provide necessary technical resources to all department managers, report all quality deviations to appropriate staff.

• Provide necessary documentation to assure that established standards of quality are met.

• Manage and supervise all laboratory procedures and staff, keeping abreast of new technology and analysis and implementing where appropriate.

• Manage, train and supervise all plant QC staff.

• Communicate with purchasing and/or raw material suppliers, HACCPs deviations and other food safety concerns.

• Investigate all quality complaints and document and recommend corrective action.

• Perform and/or oversee HACCP and GMP audit of the process, as well as employee training in these areas.

• Utilize SPC and other statistical tools to improve areas within the QA function.

• Ability to participate in cross-functional management teams.

• Implement and administer stock recovery program.

• Address USDA issues as they arise.

• Complete other duties as assigned.
