Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Police Officer located in Oskaloosa, IA. As a Police Officer, you will perform various law enforcement duties such as patrol, investigations, traffic enforcement, and maintain order and public safety in the community. You will also be expected to work closely with community members to build relationships and trust.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Valid driver’s license
• No prior convictions for any felony or serious misdemeanor offenses and no history of crime or conduct that would question the integrity of the individual or the department.
• Ability to pass a background investigation, drug test, and physical fitness test
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
• Cultural competence and ability to work with diverse populations
