OSS Inc., an established contract security guard company with over 50 years of experience, is looking for dependable, hard-working security officers in the Butler, PA area.

OSS Inc. security guards are fully uniformed, unarmed and trained.

$18.50 an hour.

Afternoon Shift: 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM.

Midnight Shift: 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM.

Weekends all turns (rotating).

About the Position and Responsibilities:

The purpose of this position is to protect the lives and property of a Steel Manufacturing facility in Butler, PA by enforcing all company guidelines and procedures that are set in place. This position provides assistance and support to the Steel Manufacturing facility with a variety of emergency and non-emergency needs including but not limited to firefighting, fire prevention, company safety education, hands-on training, emergency medical services, confined space rescue teams, and hazardous materials response.

Requirements:

· Eighteen years of age

· High school diploma or GED equivalent

· U.S. Citizenship or Naturalization

· Ability to speak and write English

· Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods

· The ability to with stand hot and cold temperatures

· Pass background check

· Valid Driver’s License

· Willingness to work rotating shifts

· Acceptable 3-year driving record

· Honorable or Uncharacterized discharge from a military branch if applicable

Experience:

· Mechanical knowledge to operate firefighting apparatus and equipment

· Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks

· Valid driver license

· Essentials of Firefighting (All 4 Modules)

· Pro Board Certification as a Firefighter 1 (must obtain within 12 months of employment)

· HazMat Operations level

· EMT/EMR: 1 year (Preferred)

As a Firefighter/EMT, you will play a crucial role in responding to emergencies, providing medical assistance, and ensuring the safety of the facility. Your skills in assessing vital signs, administering first aid, and performing CPR will be essential. Additionally, your mechanical knowledge will enable you to operate firefighting apparatus and equipment effectively. The ability to perform heavy lifting will ensure you can carry out your duties efficiently. Your commitment to ongoing training and maintaining certifications will contribute to your success in this role.
