Position: Research Scientist, Immunology

We seeking self-motivated and skilled researcher with expertise in the field of immunology, neuroinflammation, or in vitro and in vivo assay development to join the effort to develop novel pipeline drug candidates from early discovery to clinical development. This position supports complex biochemical and cell-based assay development, facilitating new biologics discovery on novel therapeutic targets. Successful candidate is expected to participate establishment of a variety of immunological and cell-based assays in support of target validation and drug discovery programs.
Job Responsibilities
1. As part of a multifunctional team, design, establish and conduct in vitro assays for target POC validation. Contribute to advanced assay development using a variety of cellular models including but not limited to primary mouse/human immune cells and iPSC-derived neuronal cell lines.
2. Conduct and interpret on cellular, biochemical, flow cytometry assays to evaluate lead molecule activity and mechanism of action with an emphasis on autoimmune, inflammation and neuroscience.
3. Prepare and submit samples, analyze, and report the data, and maintain safe and efficient lab operations.
4. Collect, analyze and present data in both internal and external research meetings and conferences.
5. Maintain good lab note documentation for IND enabling and patent application.
6. Represent early research group in cross-functional collaborations.
7. Proactively assist Lab head and Lab manager in procurement and administration.
Qualifications
1. Ph.D. in molecular biology, cell biology, immunology, neuroscience field, or M.S. with at least at least 2 years of related industrial research experience.
2. strong experience with in-vitro cellular assays and technics such as primary cell culture, co-culture, killing assay, in vitro iPSC-derived neuron differentiation, cytokine research, multi-color flow cytometry, etc.
3. Past Experience in immunological assay development, in vitro cellular model of transcytosis, and in vivo mouse models of immunological and neurodegenerative disease is a plus.
4. Independently perform experiments, efficiently trouble-shooting under supervision of lab.
5. Excellent inter-personal skills. Can communicate complex concepts with audience of diverse backgrounds and levels. A good team player.
6. Agility. Can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and under tight timeline to ensure high quality delivery.
7. Good organizational skills. Be capable of multitasking.
